ROMAN HOLIDAY'S show is simply MADE for Italian festivals! We just don't get up there and play music. . .we tell a story and get the audience involved! Our performers go right out into the audience to sing a special song to someone, pass out tambourines so everyone can join in the rhythm, and teach a crowd how to dance the tarantella, step by step! With our colorful costumes and lively dancers, we are a show your festival crowd will simply not forget! We are one of the nation's most versatile Italian bands.

We offer a variety of themed shows, which we could combine on any given day of the festival. Our core festival group consists of 4-5 musicians and 2 dancers. More musicians/dancers can be added depending on the festival budget.

One of our most popular festival shows is the RECREATION OF AN ITALIAN WEDDING. A bride and groom, dressed in traditional wedding attire, are paraded through the streets of the festival, accompanied by an entourage of costumed performers. The stage is set with a bridal table, cake, etc. and ROMAN HOLIDAY
re-enacts an Italian wedding reception, including a grand march, wedding party traditional dances, a lively Tarantella with crowd, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.--each scene accompanied by a traditional Italian song! A true crowd pleaser! We've had people tell us that they have had way more fun at this event than at their friends' and family's "real" weddings!

ROMAN HOLIDAY is the perfect Italian festival band, no matter what the budget. We can perform as a trio with two dancers for more intimate settings, or add more dancers and musicians for a full-blown Italian festival extravaganza. No matter our size, we pack a professional, lively show into each performance--and our goal is to get the crowd celebrating with us.

Maybe your festival attendees want to "fly away" to Italy, without having to step in a plane? NO PROBLEM! ROMAN HOLIDAY offers a romantic tour of Italy featuring a variety of well-known tunes from the folkloristic and Italian American songbook. From "Funiculi Funicula" to "Cella Luna Mezza Mare" from "Mambo Italiano " to "That's Amore" to the "Tarantella," the crowd will thrill to the lively tunes as our lead vocalist Giovanna takes them on a choreographed musical tour through Italy! We encourage audience participation--and our dancers will get the crowd up and moving. We even teach the tarantella!

ROMAN HOLIDAY teamed up with the colorful Sicilian troupe La Corte del Duca from Palermo, Sicily for an unforgettable day of traditional Sicilian folk songs and dancing on the streets of San Diego's Little Italy. While this was obviously an exceptional occasion, rest assured that ROMAN HOLIDAY can give you the NEXT BEST THING to an authentic Italian folkloristic group with their colorful, lively and passionate traditional music and dance from Bella Italia!

The ROMAN HOLIDAY ensemble also offers a traditional Sicilian wedding option, where bride and groom and the "villager" entourage appear in traditional costumes and recreate a wedding just as it might have happened in a village somewhere in the shadow of Mt. Etna! This is a show your festival visitors will remember well. . .it will transport them back to the beauty and romance of a Sicilian countryside.
